Mr. Sadatsuchi Uchida, the Japanese Consul-General of New York in the Meiji and the Taisho Era's residence in Nanpeidai, Shibuya, Tokyo was designed by Mr. James McDonald Garner. This wooden residence was dismanteled and reconstructed at the Italian Hill Garden in Yamate which opened to the public in 1990.
