Yokohama Union Church |

Japan's first Protestant, English-speaking, interdenominational and international Church congregation met and held services at various places since 1863 for nearly 40 years. The first Church was built at 49 Yamate in 1910, but it collapsed in the Great Kanto Earthquake of 1923. The Community House at 66 Yamate held services to its congregation but it too laid in ruins after the American air raid of 1945. The present Yokohama Union Church at 66 Yamate was built in 2003. |
